  • Population growth - People met during their travels and intermarried leading to vast population growth
  • Political changes -  Travelers brought in their political ways from their countries leading them to influence certain nations. Thus, formation of kingdoms and empires
  • Growth of long distance commerce leading to growth of large cities. Seas basins were used as the new economic centers, focusing mainly in shipments.
  • Some religious systems such as Islam, Christianity and Buddhism grew and other declined.

Long travelling reached parts of Africa who did not have a clue about what the major religious systems were. These systems were instilled in them by the first missionaries.
