Hello Courtney,

In classification in biology, the order is a taxonomic rank between the ranks of family on the lower side and class on the upper side. this simply means that organisms or creatures  in an order are more alike and specific than those in a class. However, they are more diverse than the organisms in the family rank. An example of organisms in the same order are primates.
