Gender and sex are mostly used interchangeably, but they have a different meaning, and
they play a part in determining and shaping society. Sex is the physical and psychological
differences that exist between a male and a female (Denissen, 2015). On the other side, gender
involves social and cultural roles that are associated with male and female (Bosson, Vandello, &
Buckner, 2018). Gender shapes our behaviors and actions depending on the way society
perceives both genders and expects them to do. For instance, in my case, gender has portrayed
men to be strong, brave and masculine but the female is seen as nurturing and passive. So, the
