every constitution should protect the right to life for all the citizen ,it is unfair to apply the rule of an eye for an eye ,it is not right to kill a person regardless of the crimes they have committed.the government should first fix the problem then use other means to punish those who violate the set rules of the state. other people still hold the fact  that it does not violate the constitution since death penalty will stop people from committing some major crimes and some of the forms used to kill the criminals are usually fast and almost painless,so they argue its okay to do that. 

this depends on an individuals opinion but the fact is killing people for the crimes they have commited is  not is the solution other ways can still be used.
