AIDS is a problem that is getting out of control in India, and it is significantly affecting
children. The disease is not just a problem for the adults in India, as children are also caught in
the web, and the government is not doing so much to salvage the situation. Even through the
country is a well-known signatory of the international conventions on children and HIV/AIDS, it
still struggles with the disease that is an epidemic now. Children are being orphaned by AIDS,
and they are forced to deal with the disease. This is a problem that has seen the government
come up with different solution, in vain. The Indian government moved to accede to the United
Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that compelled them to protect this children, but
