Introduction
Good health is one of the needs that every human being desires to have. Therefore,

medical services should not only be affordable but should also be accessible to everyone. The
current system of healthcare used in the United States of America is one that involves the patient
making their way to the hospital and seeking the services of the healthcare provider whenever
they are in need. While this system has been in place for a long period of time, its reliability is
currently being put to question. Many people argue that having the patients visit a health center
for them to receive the care they require is a system that requires changing since it is not only
expensive but may at times be inaccessible to patients. The argument of these stakeholders,
therefore, is to have a system of providing primary medical services where the patient can have
easy access and be able to receive high-quality services without the need of visiting a medical
facility. It is in this regard that the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has
come up with a program referred to as The Patient-Centered Medical Home Resource Center
whose aim is to meet the needs highlighted above.
