Drafting the Constitution
Constitution plays a very crucial role in the United States. It provides the laws and
regulations that govern all American citizens. The history of the constitution and its drafting
dates back to 1787. The first constitution was drafted and passed in order to guarantee and
promote peace in society as it introduced the rights and freedom of people in society. The first
constitution was written during the Philadelphia convention. The rules governing the ratification
as well as writing the constitution were also set during the convention. Since the United States of
America consists of a number of states that have come together, the interests of each state had to
be considered before the constitution was written. Through consideration of the interests of each
state during the drafting of the constitution, the different states forming the United States of
America accepted it and allowed it to govern them. The unity of all Americans from all the states
was increased. The constitution should be the basis of forming the national unity and cohesion
hence during the writing of the first constitution, the interests of all parties or rather states that
will be governed by it was considered.
Thesis: The constitution convention at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ensured the interests of all the
states were considered during the drafting of the US constitution through engaging all the
delegates to send from all the states during the process. The engagement of these delegates
ensured the interests of each state in the United States was incorporated and considered during
the drafting of the US constitution.
The Philadelphia Convention
The Philadelphia convention that led to the drafting of the US constitution impacted
positively to the United and cohesion of the country. The United States is a country which is
