From 1914 to 1918, the world was at war. This war called World War I was triggered
by the assassination of the heir of the Austria-Hungary Empire, in June 1914. As a result,
Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia. This became a fight opposing two worldwide
coalitions. On one hand, the alliance called the Central Powers was led by Germany, and on
the other hand, the Triple Entente was led by Britain, France, and Russia (Baker, 2019).
World War I lasted almost four years and was officially ended by the signature of the treaty of
Versailles. In order to end the World War I peacefuly, the Central Powers and Triple Entente
forces attended the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 to find a solution that best suits all parties.
