Diabetes is a disease which occurs as a result of too much sugar in the blood. The disease
usually impairs the ability of the body to process blood sugar. Statistics reveal that around 30
million people from the United States have been diagnosed and undiagnosed with the disease.
Most of this enormous population are people above 18 years. Failure of the patients to diagnose
the existence of Diabetes in their body may cause a buildup of sugars in the blood which pose
high risks of complications such as heart disease and stroke. This means that even when the
diagnosis has been made, proper health care should be administered to rescue the patients from
developing these future hazardous problems that subject them to more suffering followed by a
painful death. Different types of diabetes occur in human body and management of the
conditions depends on the type. Generally, society believes that diabetes arises from a person
being overweight. This is not true as some types arise from an inactive lifestyle and others are
present since childhood.
Diabetes can develop in three major types, i.e. type 1, type 2 and gestation diabetes. Type
1 diabetes also called juvenile diabetes occurs when the human body fails to produce insulin. The
