A laser gun emits infrared pulses at 0.003 second intervals toward a car travelling in the direction of the gun. If the car is 400m away when the first pulse strikes it, how long will it take the first pulse to reach the car and return to the gun?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Pulses will be equal to priod, so T= 0.003 seconds,

Total distance = 4000*2 = 800 m

Total time = 800*0.003 = 2.4 seconds

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
