If you had a department that was lacking diversity and had an opened/vacant position, would you favor a minority candidate over a non minority if the non-minority had stronger skills,qualifications, etc? Why or why not?

I would favor a minority in my department. I would only favor him if and
only of he had a stronger opinion and had better skills and
qualifications. This is a person who has better knowledge on the issue
than the rest of the employees. the majority is not always right. The
two sides have to be considered and the best option wins whether it is
from the majority or minority side.
