How do I find the slant height of a square pyramid given the length of the base and the height?

The base length is 707.75ft and the height is 471ft, so how do I find the slant height? I need it to find the surface are of the shape as well.

use Pythagorean, the slnt height is the hypotenuse of the right triangle with the other two side being the height and half of the length of the base

so slant height  = sqrt(471^2+(707.75/2)^2) = 589.13
