(x+8)/4 = 37/20 + (x-3)/5

(x+8) over 4 = 37 over 20 + (x-3) over 5

Make fractions on right side have the common denominator 20.


(X+8)/4=(25+4x)/20

Distribute 4(x-3) and combine like terms


X+8=(25+4x)/5

Multiply both sides by 4


5x+40=25+4x

Multiply both sides by 5


X=-15

Combine like terms.
