Environmental protection is a part of sustainable development. Environmental
protection is the protection of natural resources from further depletion and degradation
and hence is one of the three main pillars of sustainable development. Sustainable
development incorporates environmental protection alongside economics and equity to
ensure meeting the needs of the present without compromising those of the future.

Explain the three E’s of sustainability:

These are the three pillars of sustainability and they include the environment, equity,
and economics. The environment pillar refers to the conservation and preservation of
natural resources and eco-systems. These may include producing eco-friendly
products, conserving resources, protecting air and water quality, and reducing waste
and pollutants. The equity pillar refers to social equity or the protection of
communities. Sustainability is concerned with avoiding promoting inequality such as
