Integers are the whole numbers be it negative whole numbers, positive whole numbers and zero For Example, -3, 2, 0, 2235 are integers

Rational number - Derived from the word ratio, is any number that can be written as ratio of two integers.

To understand rational numbers better I will put it this way, a number is rational if we can write it as a fraction where the numerator and denominator are both integers

take for example 4/5, -8, and 1.75(7/4)
