Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

n-(5/6)n=4700

The coefficient in front of the 1st n is 1. We do not usually write the 1 in front because 1 times any number is itself and is thus unnecessary to write.

1n-(5/6)n=4700

Now we have like terms (the 2 n terms) so we combine the coefficients.

(1-5/6)n=4700

Turn the 1 into 6/6 to make a common denominator to be able to combine the fractions. We make 1 into 6/6 because it is 1 as well because any non-zero number divided by itself is 1.

(6/6-5/6)n=4700 Just subtract the numerator numbers to combine.

(1/6)n=4700 Divide both sides by (1/6)

n=4700/(1/6) Dividing by a fraction is the same as multiplying by its reciprocal (6/1)

n=4700*(6/1)=4700*6=28,200 which is the answer.
