Simplify answers as much possible.  Assume that your expressions are defined for all x in the domain of the composition.
a)   f(x)= x-1/2,   g(x)=2x-1,    f(g(x))= ,   g(f(x))=
b)  f(x)=-3/x, x≠0,  g(x)=3/x,x≠0,  f(g(x)),  g(f(x))

the analytical answer with step by step calculations is in the image . The criteria for inverse function is 

given f(x) and g(x)     f(g(x)) = x and g(f(x)) = x So plz ingnore the reason for F(g(x)) i gave in both (a) and (b) the correct reason is  f(g(x)) is not equal to x . Other than that all else is correct 

and g(f(x)) = x  If you have any questions in this excersise just ask!!!!
