What is the maximum negative and positive charge of an atom?

An atom has no charge because the number of protons is equal to the numbers of elecetrons 

so the possitive chrage from protons is neutralised from the negative charge of electrons . 

So the maximum possitive charge of an atom is 0 

and the maximum negative charge of an atom is agaion 0 

because should it had charge it wouldnt be an atom , it would be an ion .
