Question Description

Calculate the number of moles of NaHCO3 that reacted in each beaker. (The molar ratio between evolved CO2 and the bicarbonate, HCO3-, is 1:1) 

Note: I used 3g of Alka Seltzer, Initial Mass was(Vinegar+water+alka selt) 118.027g, Final Mass is 117.143g, Mass of Co2 evolved was 0.884g, moles of CO2 evolved was 0.02009g/moles

Since  the  mole ratio  is  the  same  for

NaHCO3  and the  CO2  produced  

So  the  number  of  moles  of CO2  produced  is  the same  as  number  of  moles  of  NaHCO3 

Hence the number  of  moles of Alka Seltzer is  0.02009 moles
