Psychology Self-Assessment outline
1. A poem on my personality
Introduction
✓ I am the protagonist of my own life.
✓ All my beliefs are the essence of my theory and are derived from my personal encounters,
my life history, the significant events in my life and my view of life, and how I deal with
everyday issues.
✓ From my stance, I can never let other people define who I am.
✓ My personality theory is named as protagonist psychology.
✓ I assume individual responsibility for my happiness, of whatever I do, and the challenges
I face.
2. My Self-Assessment
a) My early years till now
✓ I was brought up in a single family where my mother was the breadwinner playing both
the mother and father duties and struggled hard to see us succeed in our studies.
✓ We were stereotyped by our friends because we did not have a complete family
✓ Many people assumed that children born in a single family do not complete school and
end up becoming juvenile delinquents
✓ I did not let this opinion of others define me and I vowed to work hard in school and
prove them wrong
b) Influence of my early years on my personality theory
✓ My early days were not any easy, yet they were the most definitive years of my life.
✓ They influenced my personality, my direction in life and my attitude towards life itself.
✓ Every single decision I made then has been influential in my life
c) Events that have shaped me

A couple of events have shaped me into the person I am today
One of them was my father walking out on us while I was still young
Then being brought up by a single mother
And finally been stereotyped

d) Likes, dislikes, strengths weaknesses
✓ I like being with focused people; I hate those who put others down
✓ My strength is that I am a go-getter my weakness is that I try to do even beyond my
power

3. Issues in personality development

Family interactions
Schools
Challenges
Culture

4. Conclusion
✓ Everyone has their unique personality shaped by different factors.
✓ In my case, the circumstances surrounding my life significantly impacted on my
character.
✓ Being brought up by a single strong mother crowns them all.
✓ The challenges that I faced in my early days have shaped the person I am today
