Introduction
Effective management in healthcare insurance company help provides efficient services
to the members of the community. Aspects of care delivery, assessment of healthcare resources
and taking account of healthcare finance are some of the roles of the health insurance company.
As an Associate Director for Quality Management, I have unique roles in a Health Insurance
Company which include making an effort to improve healthcare services delivery, supervising
healthcare professionals while at work, evaluating whether healthcare facilities used at the
company comply with US federal regulations and many others (Necas, 2016). To enable
effective communication between medical department heads at our health insurance company,
we prioritize the transformational leadership theory. Transformational leadership theory helps
enlighten all healthcare providers and ensure their healthcare duties are moral and motivated by
the interactions within the healthcare environment. Transformational leadership helps healthcare
professionals focus on minimizing medical errors and work towards meeting the company's
objectives. In every healthcare insurance company, Associate Director for Quality Management
should have a bachelor's degree in Quality Management and relevant experience in healthcare
consulting setting, to help deal with constant reforms needed in the healthcare environment for
the provision of high quality care. Therefore, the essay discusses leadership concepts in a
healthcare organization.
1. Leadership Theory applicable to the Health Insurance Company
Transformational leadership is relevant to associate director for quality management in
any health insurance company. Transformational leadership ensures that physicians are
motivated with a great vision. When I use transformational leadership as a manager to guide

health care providers at our health insurance company, physicians will be able to think beyond
self-interests and offer effective care to all patients. The transformational manager set clear goals
and ensure a health insurance company prospers in its operations. The major importance of
transformational leadership theory is to guide in setting the company’s vision (Lakmal, 2013).
Vision determines the progress of healthcare operations because it introduces values that help
healthcare professionals create interpersonal relationships with their patients all through the
admission period. Therefore, the transformational leadership theory works to improve the vision
and objectives of a health insurance company and help health providers reach the highest level in
the provision of healthcare services.
The designing of health plans improves when transformational leadership is applied in
the management of Health Insurance Company. Transformational leadership help managers
decide on whether to consider age, history of enrollment or locality when asking payments for
prescription drugs, emergency services, and other expenses in a healthcare setting. In-network
expenses and out-of-network costs are effectively regulated if a manager considers all themes of
the transformational leadership theory (Baranes & Bardey, 2015). A good Associate Director for
Quality Management should possess negotiation power that will guide in daily discussions in a
healthcare setting. Competition and conflict among healthcare professionals in the same
workplace environment should not be supported because it makes some physicians depressed
