4)The ratio of the measures of two supplementary angle is 4x-10/5x+1. Find the value of x.

We know that the sum of the supplementary angle is 180degree.

Therefore let one of the angle be 4x-10 and the other angle be 5x+1 so that the ration will be (4x-10)/(5x+1)

Sum of the angle=180

4x-10+5x+1=180

Solve for x

4x+5x +1-10=180

9x-9=180

9x=189

x=189/9

x=21(answer)
