Critical thinking can be described as the art of thinking the best possible way in any given
circumstance. Any given situation offers a range of options that are in turn linked to a wide range
of consequences. Not all choices, however, led to desirable outcomes, some decisions may lead
to band results while other decisions may lead to good results. While some good decisions may
lead to better results than other good choices, other bad choices may also lead to consequences
that are worse than others. For this reason, critical thinking is vital in achieving the best possible
result in any given situation.
Thinking gets us in trouble because we often jump into conclusions. Jumping into
conclusion involves an irrational mode of thinking that makes an individual arrive at inferences
without critically evaluating all possible factors around which the situation may revolve. In order
to be a critical thinker, one must hesitate before executing actions irrationally. I have often fallen
for this act of jumping into conclusions in several instances of my life. At one point I had gone
