The La Tendenza movement took place in Italy after the war and was spearheaded by
Aldo Rossi and this movement helped to define the future of Italian architecture. The translation
of the word Tendenza is 'trend,' and thus this signifies the shift to the political and critical
architecture with the architecture focusing on rationalism and realism. The movement also
pushed for the consideration of the historical and classical styles of architecture and art with the
