After one half-life,50% of X will have decayed.

So,the remaining amount is (X/2).

After second half-life,50% of (X/2) will have decayed.

So,the remaining amount is half of (X/2).

Remaining amount = X/4.

Percentage of original amount remaining =[(X/4)/X]*100 = 25%
