  • Each article must be a primary source from a peer-reviewed journal published within the past 4 years. Each of the articles must be a narrative on the results of a study/research. Articles that are not based on the findings of a study/research should not be used.
  • It must be submitted as a Word document (.doc).
  • The finished paper must be uploaded, as an attachment, by the published deadline.
  • Any charts, graphs, pictures, etc. must be put in an appendix and do not count toward the word count.
  • Block quotes cannot be used and will not count toward the word count requirement.

In the current world, technology has made everything to be easy since through
technology machines have been implement so that can replace human labor. Thus, through
technology there is lean manufacturing which involves waste management from various
industries. This paper has addressed the different articles that describe lean manufacturing
process and the similarity and differences between different concepts used.

Introduction
Lean manufacturing is a systematic method used by industries to minimize waste
products which are produced by the industry during production. This method of reducing waste

products usually involve different techniques which do not affect the productivity of the industry.
The Toyota production system was the first company to use this technique. The aim of Toyota in
using this method was to improve the overall customer value. However, there are various
techniques that the company uses so that it can achieve the best products from lean
manufacturing. Multiple principles are governing the production process of lean which states that
if the waste products are reduced during production, the quality of the product also increases
(Sanders et al., 2016). Thus, lean implementation targets the importance of optimizing workflow
