We want the length of the side opposite the 49 degree angle in the pictured right triangle. Let us call this length x.  We know the length of the side adjacent the 49 degree angle is 75 feet.  We use the tangent function.

tan 49 = x/75  and solve for x.

1.150368 = x / 75

1.50368 * 75 feet = x

86.2776 feet = x

Approximate x = 86.3 feet.

Therefore the distance from the loading dock to the end of the parking lot is 86.3 feet.  Answer Choice A.
