the ladder's length is the hypotenuse

and the distance the bottom of the ladder is from the wall is the adjacent leg to 72 degrees.

We should use cosine function.

(ladder length)*cos 72 = (distance from wall)

(ladder length)*0.30901699 = (distance from wall)

I cannot see the picture clearly, please tell me the length of the ladder.

If the ladder is 20.06 feet long, the distance from the wall is 6.2 feet choice A.

If the ladder is 54.1 feet long the distance from the wall is 16.73 feet choice B

If the ladder is 61.55 feet long the distance from the wall is 19.02 feet choice C

If the ladder is 68.02 feet long then the distance from the wall is 21.02 feet choice D

I gave you 4 options for the ladder's length. The distance from the wall would be controlled by the ladder length.
