As discussed in an article about new medical technology by referral MD, one of the most innovative technologies of the last couple years has been wearable technology, in the medical field, like google glasses. With these, especially in time-sensitive settings like surgery, instead of a doctor or a nurse leaving to use a computer, they can performing actions on their glasses that they would have had to put on hold their operation for. These are so innovative and have been seen to be incredibly effective in the medical field; however, just like in the social society of everyday life, these new technologies can affect the medical field socially. The medical field can be affected socially by technology in the way that they may lose the skill of communication with their patients, due to dependence on such new instruments. Communication with one's patient is one of the most important tasks to complete in the medical field, and if employees of the medical field lost this skill it would be a setback. Along with these new technologies, some have come under scrutiny for violating God's call or the laws of nature; yet, this engineering of new medical technology is still a growing field and has been proven to be very helpful.
