They became an established company in 1993, with over 500 places spread out in the United States. Their main headquarters is located in Louisville, Kentucky. Papa John's pride themselves on making top quality food to satisfy their customers. Papa John's is the 3rd largest pizza chain in the United States, only trailing Pizza Hut and Dominoes. With their famous slogan, “Better Ingredients. Better Pizza. Papa John's.” a message they promote loudly from them to their customers, whom they want to make the best pizza they possibly can while serving and using high-quality ingredients as their primary focus as a company. Moreover, they also provide a carryout and delivery service to make it more convenient for their customers. While pizza is the main attraction of their product, they serve other foods as well. They serve chicken wings (chicken in general), breadsticks, various types of sliders and bite, and different types of desserts too. Just like what was stated earlier, they prided themselves on using highquality ingredients when making their food, which is one of their major strengths. Unlike Papa John’s, its competitors use frozen pizza dough and sauce. By using fresh ingredients, this allows them to meet customer expectations better than other pizza chain restaurants. They use their assets in dough making facilities and commissaries, so they view quality products up close. Another strength is having a robust employee training program put in place to help their team members have the necessary skills to be able to make the best pizza possible and run a store efficiently and effectively. These approaches are how they establish consistency when it comes to customer service. Despite being a prosperous pizza place, no restaurant is perfect by any means, and Papa John's is no exception. One weakness of theirs is their menu. Even though it does offer decent amount choices, compared to their competition, the menu might leave much to be desired for some customers who are looking for more. For this, reason, Papa John’s may be losing potential customers to the competition which offers a good deal more than just pizza and appetizers. Another weakness of theirs is the limited amount of stores compared to their competition. Pizza Hut and Dominoes have over double the amount of stores that Papa John's have, so being able to serve a more substantial amount of pizza is a bit more of a challenge compared with the others.
