Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Recall the volume formula for a sphere.  Remember it is V = (4/3) * pi * r ^3,  where pi = 3.1415926535 , r = radius of sphere.

Please confirm the formula.

We know the Volume = 3053.63 cubic feet.  We need to find the diameter of the sphere which equals 2*r  or 2 times the radius.

Set the equation according to the formula:

3053.63 = (4/3) * 3.1415926535 * r *r *r

let us get the variable r alone on the right side of the equation.

3053.63 * (3/4) = 3.1415926535 * r*r*r

2290.2225 = 3.1415926535 * r*r*r

2290.2225/3.1415926535 = r*r*r

729.0004633 = r*r*r

cube root of 729.0004633 = r

9.000002 = r

diameter = 2*r = 2*9.000002 = 18 feet.

Answer choice A.) 18 feet.

Please let me know if you need any clarification. I'm always happy to answer your questions.
