Description

Sometimes values are in conflict.

For example:
    1. It can be possible to value simplicity and low stress and also value earning a very high income, but it can be challenging.
    2. Perhaps you value the benefit of being part of a large organization, but you also value autonomy and independence. What two or more values do you have that could be in conflict with each other? How will you manage that?

Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

Freedom and safety are two values that challenge one another, especially with our relationship to the government. In order for us to be fully protected by the government, some freedom must be given away. With full freedom, danger would be all around us, because nobody could stop anyone from exercising their freedom. A challenge between values like freedom and safety must be done through a equal and healthy balance between the two, in order to have some freedom while still being safe.
