A stakeholder is essentially an investor in a company whose actions determine the outcome of the business. They can be business partners who rely on your success to keep supply chain going, employee who have a stake in your company’s success and incentive for your products to succeed. Different organization have different approach to stakeholders hence roles of stakeholders differ between businesses depending on the rules and regulations laid out by the company. Stakeholders therefore are involved in a number of roles. They include; decision making, investment role, direct management and corporate conscience. Through these roles stakeholders are able to play a role in ensuring that the mission and vision of the organization is achieved.
