### Question Description

My sales revenue has grown from \$1,200,000 in 2012 to \$1,500,000 in 2015.  Assuming that my sales revenue growth is linear, find the linear equation for my sales.  What will be my projected sales in 2018?

slope = 300000/3= 100000

1500000 = 100000*3+C

y intercept = 1200000 [Assuming 2012 to be the base year.

So, linear equation of sales  => y = 100000*(x-2012)+1200000 [Where x and y are actual years.

So projected sales in 2018,

y = 100000*(2018-2012)+1200000

sales = \$1,800,000
