Logistic Support Analysis (LSA)
The LSA is an organized and structured approach that assesses the requirements of
logistic support. It also highlights the actions that should be defined and support the whole
process of project development by influencing the supportability design (Honeck, 2019). The
overall objectives of the LSA are not only to ensure that the system operates optimally but
also ensure it is sustainable and continually available while minimizing costs.
The five key points in logistic support analysis are;

Selection of candidate items (CI),

Level of repair analysis (LORA),

Maintenance concepts,

Software support analysis,

Application to Organization
My organization is Burlington Stores. It is a cloth retain outlet that offers massive
discounts to customers. The organization started as suit and coat wholesaler in 1972. It started its
operation in the New Jersey, but it has since expanded to 44 other states, owning 567 stores in
both the United States and Puerto Rico (Bulington, 2019).
Selection of candidate items can be applied in identifying activities and items that need
logistic support at various levels of maintenance. Once the CIs have been identified, the second
point, LOR, can be used to identify the first maintenance orientation while ensuring economic
use of resources. The third point, maintenance concept can be applied in Burlington systems to
