Question Description

In a card game, a 2-card hand consisting of an ace and either a face card of diamond or a 10 is called a “win”. If a standard 52-card deck is used, determine how many winning hands can be dealt.(A “face card” is a jack, queen, or king.)

There are 4 aces for one card.

There are 3 diamond card faces and 4 tens for the outcomes of the 2nd card.

4 ways times 7 ways = 28 different ways we can get the outcomes for a win.
