Explanation & Answer

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
Autoregulation and hormonal regulation do affect glomerular filtrate rate.
Renal autoregulation involves feedback mechanisms intrinsic to the kidney that cause either dilation or constriction in the afferent arteriole so as to counteract blood pressure changes and keep a steady GFR.
the hormone atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) is a factor that can increase GFR.

1. You observe lightning strike in the distance and hear the thunder approximately 3 seconds later. The speed of sound in air is 343 m/s. How far away was the lightning strike?2. A simple pendulum of length L has a period T on Earth. The same pendulum is taken to the Moon which has approximately 1/6th of the Earth surface gravity. What is the period of the pendulum on the Moon?3. Radio station is broadcasting at a frequency 101.3 MHz.Given the radio waves speed 3.00×108m/s, what is its wavelength?

World Regional Geography: A short answer a question+ an essay response to a question
Here is PART 2 of this assignment. Here is what you need to know about this parts:It will consist of 1 short answer question, and 1 essay question. For all of these questions...... I expect you to have well-written answers for each question thoroughly with details from both the presentations and the readings.QUESTION 1The African Transition Zone - In terms of cultural geography, the continent of Africa is divided between the north and the south. Countries that lie along this transition zone are often beset with violence and conflict. Answer the following:What is the African Transition Zone in terms of cultural geography? Make sure you include a detailed description of this transition zone and any associative terms.Reference the African Transition Zone map, and explain what countries are most affected. Why these countries?Example 1: Nigeria - Describe how and explain why Nigeria exemplifies the conflict that is associated with the African Transition Zone. Make sure you include a description of the country, any relevant terminology that explains this situation better, and information from the readings that relate to this issue.Example 2: Somalia - What do geographers term Somalia? Why? What has happened in this country that has caused it to be termed this, and how does this relate to the African Transition Zone?Example 3: Mali - Even though it is considered a part of the North Africa/Southwest Asia realm, Mali fits in with the African Transition Zone. Why? What happened in Mali that could easily make it part of the African Transition Zone?QUESTION 2The Arab Spring - The most recent conflict in this realm started in 2010, with the beginning of what has been termed The Arab Spring. Answer the following questions for each topic:The Arab SpringWhat was the Arab Spring?Where did the Arab Spring begin and to what countries did it spread? Why did these countries' populations rebel against their governments?Make sure you include all relevant terminology.SyriaThe dust has not settled in terms of the Arab Spring, especially in Syria. How did protests in Syria morph into an all-out civil war?Who is fighting whom in Syria and approximately how many people have lost their lives? Why is this war referred to as a proxy war, what other countries are involved, and why are they involved? What is the humanitarian crisis people refer to when speaking about Syria, and why is it a crisis of epic proportions?***Prsentations are attached below***Readings: 1.Political Chaos in Syria http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-26116868

Grossmont Heritability of Conventional & Ambulatory Blood Pressures Lab Write Up
Blood Pressure Lab Write-up:Produce a lab report forthe body position activity of the Blood Pressure lab. You do not need to address the other parts of the experiment. I am providing you an outline, but your report should be in nonnumeric, paragraph form. The data you need for the report is found in an Excel file posted on Canvas. The data includes sitting (resting) and recumbent data of heart rate and blood pressure. The subjects also reported their sex and age (decade, not specific year).1. Write an Introduction Section (3 or 4paragraphs). A brief overview of blood pressure should be included in this section. Don’t forget to include a citation when you provide information which is not common knowledge. For example, your text (Silverthorn, 2019),lab manual(Caldwell, Didomenico, Shearer, & Botten, 2019), or another reasonable source. Make sure to include brief explanations of the physiology underlying the measurement of blood pressure and how to interpret the blood pressure reading.State the hypotheses or predictions. 2. Methods. Write 2-3 paragraphs which give an overview of how you did your experiment.Cite our lab manual (Caldwell, Didomenico, Shearer, & Botten, 2019), and then concisely summarize how the data was collected. Write a paragraph describing your test subjects. How are they similar and how are they different?Write 1-2 paragraphs which gives a general overview of how you used the methods and baseline data to study the effects of changes in body position on blood pressure and heart rate. What is the independent variable of this experiment? The dependent variable? How are you analyzing the data (mean, standard deviation, statistical test, etc).3. Results. Includeat least one graph and a summary table or graph. You may need more than one.Any table or graph should have a descriptive title. Make sure you submit a summary table, not a restatement of raw data.I smile when I see calculated measures of central tendency (mean and median) and some measure of spread. Excel can do most of those calculations for you. Your graph should show blood pressure class averages for each body position. You should include a short narrative highlighting your data in this section.4. Summary (4-5paragraphs) Explain your data by using information you introduced in your introduction. Make sure to demonstrate you understand the underlying physiology explaining why blood pressure changes in response to changes in body position. Refer to your table and graph and point out any important data. If your results did not match your expected results, write a paragraph suggesting one reason your results might have been different from the expected results. I
