Personally, I operate both systems to meet my needs. Laptops are used in my case for their ability to become mobile. Desktops are used within my home for their processing performance. My laptop is a Linux system that is used for penetration testing whereas my desktop is used for gaming and database storage. Both are connected to the home network for ease of database updating. However, I do prefer the notebook or laptop for is ability to connect and perform giving my chosen carrer.
