Ethics of care can either be deontological or teleological but according to me, it is more
deontological than teleological. First and foremost, deontological refers to a moral system that
relies on independent moral obligations or duties. In this regard, strict adherence to moral values
can only be achieved by knowing the good morals and following the rules to the later, (Richards,
2014). In contrast, the teleological ethical system tends to oppose deontological by focusing
mostly on the judgment of the aftermath of a particular act. For this matter consequences of an
action determine what is good or bad.
