Organizations develop communication strategies to enable them reach out effectively to
their target audience. Developing a good communication strategy is essential for every business
that seeks to attract and retain customers in the long run. Companies can develop a good
communication strategy by following a series three major steps: First, the directors have to write
a statement of purpose clearly defining what the company hopes to achieve: Second the directors
have to carry out a situation analysis to establish the firm’s position at the time: Third, the
managers will set out the organization and communication objectives that are in harmony with
the overall organization plan. Communication strategies will shape the overall communication of
the company with external parties such as clients competitors suppliers etc. (Felix et al. 119).
This paper will focus on Burger King and KFC which are fast food chain restaurants with
franchises globally. The discussion will analyze the different communication strategies as

Burger King’s activity on Twitter
Burger king would be described as an aggressive persona in twitter. The company joined twitter
in the year 2010 which is rather late compared to its major competitors like Mc Donalds and
