➢ The story that I found to resonate with me most is the “The story of No Moccasins"
according to the author all the old people have wisdom that people can learn from
➢ A pow-wow refers to the gathering of native people
➢ The Indian Self- Determination and Education Act of 1975 allowed the Secretary of
Interior, the Secretary of Health and welfare and the other government agencies to be able
to enter into the federally recognized Indian tribes as well as make grants directly to them.
➢ This referred to the most widespread protest from the 89 Indian Americans when they
occupied the Alcatraz Island.
