Project plan
Apex Logistics
Introduction of a new energy drink into the market
Project introduction

PROJECT PLAN

2

The project is based on research for energy drink, Energy Boost in Texas City. The new
energy drink will be quality- based processed in Texas City. Its contents and packaging are
completely different from the ones existing in the market. The target market for the Energy
Boost is young males and females aged between 17 -45 years of age who are residents of Texas
City. The research conducted about the new energy drink provides insightful information about
the business operations, its constraints, budget structure, and target market that is used to prepare
a project plan to launch the new energy drink in the market. The project for launching the new
product begins from May 2019 and runs through to September 2020.

Project at a glance
The new product that is intended for the Texas City is an energy drink called Energy
Boost. According to research, on a daily basis, 83% of consumers in Texas City are youths aged
between 17to 45. Energy drinks have become common in the city and its consumption rate
increases majorly during events like games, fundraising, and educational events among others.
Therefore, Apex Logistics will actively take part in providing the new energy in the market as
one of the most used beverages.

Product at a glance
In Texas City, there is an increasingly growing demand for energy drinks. The
ingredients for the new product, Energy Boost are: vitamin B, Carbonated water, Herbs, and
caffeine. Caffeine is an ingredient that is majorly found in coffee and tea. It is also widely used

by manufacturers of energy drinks. Since caffeine revitalizes the energy levels of consumers, it is
majorly used as an ingredient form energy drink to keep its consumers busy and active when
consumed especially during social events.

Major competitors
The new Energy Boost is bound to face stiff competition from giant companies like Coca
Cola and Pepsi which are already established in the market. However, according to prior research
conducted by Apex Logistics, these companies have failed to some extent to take control of the
energy drink market while creating room for new market players to establish themselves.
Competitors in the Texas City market are Power Horse, Red Bull, and Burn while the established
industries like Coca cola follow last in the competition line.
