Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

A burn is a type  of injury to the skin or other tissues caused by caused by heat ,electricity, chemicals, friction and radiation.According to the degree of burn or injury to the skin,it has been further classified into first, second, third and fourth .The third degree burns  destroys the outer layer of skin (epidermis) and the entire layer beneath (the dermis). In a third degree burn all layers of the skin is destroyed. It extends into the subcutaneous tissue and the sufferer feels no pain.

They are at high risk of infection because the tissue becomes dead and there is a lack of low of blood to the area of the area of the burn.As the degree of burning is higher in third degree burn therefore the healing process is slower and it becomes more vulnerable to infection.
