Imagine that you are participating in a roundtable for various professionals who work with older adults. There are people from skilled nursing facilities, older adult daycare facilities, and human services and public health representatives, and others. You are representing your community center for aging services and have been asked to provide an analysis of the services provided for older adults in your community.
To successfully complete this analysis, you must complete the following:

In developing programs and interventions which address the concerns and the needs of
the society, having an understanding of the community composition based on their demographics
is essential. Developing such an understanding and the composition of the target community
helps come up with effective utilization of the available resources in a manner that meets the
pressing needs of the community. The needs of older adults remain highly ignored in most
communities. The current paper focuses on the older adults within Dallas and the resources
available in the community to meet their pressing needs.
Epidemiological and Demographic Information
Dallas County is one of the most diverse cities in the US, with people of different
heritages, age, and ethnicity living there. A majority of these are found within the City of Dallas.
With an estimated population of 2,637,772 as per 2018, Dallas County is among the most
populated counties in the country. Citizens living with this area are of different heritages and
demographics which makes the city one of the most diverse (United States Census Bureau). The
county has a median household income of $53, 626 with about 15% of the population living
