Describe your understanding of the north / south divide as it relates to the health of populations in developing counties. Determine specific steps — aside from building more clinics — that the leadership in developing countries can take to improve their health care systems and, as a consequence, the health of the population.
Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!
The world is split between the wealthy developed countries of the North and the poor developing countries of south.Globally , inequality and poverty is disproportionately represented by this dividing line that separates the two hemispheres. Most of the population lives in poverty in the global south. The North -USA, Canada, Europe and developed parts of east Asia controls world's income, while southern part of Africa, Latin America and developing Asia only holds a little portion of world's income. So in these developing counties people have less medical facilities as compared to the people living in developed countries.
Hence the challenges for developing countries is to reorient health sectors towards managing chronic diseases and the special needs of elderly people.Leaders must make efforts in these directions.More clinics with adequate medicines should be available, so that people can get immediate treatment.More public awareness program should be there through TV newspapers so general lesser privileged people can know about these facilities, even put posters in shops, malls to spread the news.So people are more aware of these things and it will be helpful
