The two articles picked for analysis are Spinning for India’s independence by Theodore M.
Brown and Letter from Birmingham jail by Martin Luther King Jr. Both articles touch on civil
disobedience issues in two different societies. Brown’s article introduces the simplicity of stature
of Mahatma Gandhi on his visit to England to negotiate India’s independence. This is by fact a
