Question Description

2.True or false. Suppose it is determined that the probability of obtaining heads in a coin- tossing experiment using a biased coin is 0.51, then the probability of obtaining tails in a toss of the coin is 0.49.

* Please clarify if not statement is false.

It is true.

When tossing a coin there are only 2 possibilities. Either it will be head or tail.

Also the sum probability of all the outcomes is 1.

P(head) + P(tail) = 1

P(tail) = 1 - P(head) = 1 - 0.51 = 0.49
