Participants
After going through various studies being carried out by NIMH there is a lot to
tell about health care and how people are willing to change the future of health. Most
of these researches they accept healthy volunteers. This means that those people
health workers are willing to help the needy in society. Also, the studies are involving
both young and old participants which are a clear indication that mental illness can
affect people of all ages. For instance, the Evaluation of patients with moods and
anxiety disorders involves participants aged between 3- 99 this is a good age to
indicate that the age does not count when it comes to mental illnesses. All these
researches are carried out with the aim of testing new ways that will detect, prevent or
improve the treatment of a disease. You will find that not all the researches take in
people with disorders but also there are other researches that accept people with no
illnesses so that they can get an overall baseline of the illness involved. For instance
the study of engaging siblings of adults with autism in future planning, its participants
are siblings of the siblings to the adults with autism (Robson and Gingell, 2011).
These siblings are not sick but in one way they are affected by the illness as a family.
Therefore the studies can be used in helping the affected plan their future and also
health workers can handle the illness more effectively with the help of the family.
Measure of outcomes
The studies on depression, anxiety and autism use intervention methods to get
help to the affected. These are the best methods of getting the correct data when it
