Violent crimes have very little constitutional controversy. The legal and ethical
reasoning behind certain aspects of the same arise from the fact that acts of violence are rather
easy to prove as compared to other crimes, and inflict direct harm on people, which is fatal in
some cases. However, there still exists some form of controversies regarding violent crimes that
have been decided by the Supreme Court, not because of the complexities of the case but rather
the defense and constitutional validation of the same.

The court’s decision was based on a set of consolidated cases: Miller vs.
