Why would a medical doctor refer a patient to a psychologist for an evaluation related to complaints of pain?  Are there any specific DSM diagnoses that would likely come in play in such a scenario?

Thank you for the opportunity to help you with your question!

This is because  they are some pains  that may be related out of emotional patterns related on how the person thinks or feels .This may makes a person behaves in a way that may cause physical or mental illness thus the medical doctor first decides to refer the guy to psychologist for a therapy
